“Direct Evidence for the Polymeric Nature of Polydopamine”, Angewandte Chemie International Edition. This paper demonstrates the use of single molecule force spectroscopy to show that polydopamine is a polymer, shedding new light on the structure of this interesting material. Congratulations to former visiting scientist Suhair Sunoqrot on the publication of her paper in Biomaterials Science!

Suhair’s paper on “Facile synthesis and surface modification of bioinspired nanoparticles from quercetin for drug delivery”, Biomaterials Science, 2018, 6, 2656 -2666.  The paper describes synthesis of nanoparticles from the polyphenol quercetin, which can be conveniently functionalized with ligands and drug molecules by simple mixing under ambient conditions. doi: 10.1039/c8bm00587g
