[April 2017] – Sally Winkler won a travel award from the UCSF Science Policy Group to travel to Washington, DC, to advocate for science with students and post-docs from UCSF. In addition to attending the March for Science in DC, the group met with policymakers the following week to advocate for the importance of government funding for basic and translational research. Congrats, Sally!
